Bercella has its roots in Varano de’ Melegari since 1996, when the founder Franco Bercella builds a ultra-light plane with Composite Materials, starting his experiments with Carbon Fiber, a lot early on time.
The expertise acquired in 25 years activity in Composites, brought Bercella to a leading position in the worldwide International Racing sector:
• In 2000 Bercella designs and realises several components for single seaters, such as monocoques and bodyworks for various Formulas, among which: F2, F3, F. Renault and Indycar
Meanwhile the company decides to start a diversification process thanks to continuous R&D investments, that expand and consolidate Bercella’s expertise in its business sectors.
• 2002 is the year of the first qualifications for the Aviation sector
• In 2009 Bercella enters the Defense sector supplying Radomes and Reflectors for the most important players both in Italy and abroad
• In 2012 the production approach, gradually evolves from build-to-print to build-to-spec, underlining Bercella’s designing vocation
Nowadays Bercella is the Italian Market Leader for Space Structures as well, with worldwide successful solutions and components.
